Following owner Glen Ireland’s passion for art, the Harrington Glen art gallery was opened in 2004. The gallery, sitting in the loft above the cellar door, was designed to showcase the work of Granite Belt artists. Oil and water paintings, abstract creations and everyday items with an artistic twist are all available to view and purchase.
The winery itself is a reflection of the artistic endeavours of both the winery owners and the surrounding picturesque landscape. The stunning poplar trees lining the entrance of the winery reflect the distinct Granite Belt weather, with the seasonal changes in colour of these magnificent trees often captured by local and visiting artists alike.
The Three Graces, a sensual statue encased in the winery driveway, is a landmark in its own right and is featured on Harrington Glen’s wine labels.
The Gallery is closed to visitors. It is now being turned into a private library and office, but there are still items for sale in the cellar door. More items will be added in the not too distant future.
